VistaCon -- clear view of the potential concepts --

VistaCon Technologies was established in 2009. We are a small firm targeted at creation of artificial intelligence solutions for products with limited processing resources and small size, low power, and low cost requirements. Past experience includes projects with Naval Research Labs involving shallow learning techniques for vehicle detection and classification. Present focus is on development of an intelligent seismic node that can identify human or vehicular active for intrusion detection. Markets include border security, oil field security, and dam surveillance.

Our current development focus is on a product with origins in a Naval Research Labs project over a decade ago. The implementation at that time was obviously limited by the performance of the components available at that time. Machine learning techniques have also evolved. The original AI implementation was based on GentleBoost, a variant of AdaBoost. This is now classified as a shallow learning technique given today’s deep learning neural networks. At that time there was no shallow vs. deep, it was just the technique (along with SVM's). The current design takes full advantage of the latest low power high performance MCU’s as well as other analog components that are now both low power and low noise.
